It is currently available in the Exotic variant introduced in Patch 15.00, and was originally available in Epic and Legendary variants. It has a headshot multiplier of x2.5. This sniper has an embedded weather map in it's scope that lead players to the next Storm Circle before it appears on the main map. The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle could be found from floor loot, chests, vending machines, and supply drops. It uses Heavy Bullets.

The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle was added in Patch 9.41, but was vaulted in Patch 10.20 due to the recent addition of the Automatic Sniper Rifle.

Trivia[]

  • The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle is based off TrackingPoint ShadowTrax.
  • This Sniper's mechanic of tracking multiple storms was the mechanic of the cut Eye of the Storm Tracker backpack.
  • It was revealed that the gun would also be in the game in Presents!. In the 9.40 Patch Notes. The weapon was leaked in the Presents! consumable in Creative for around two days before Epic fixed it.
  • It can be considered a bona-fide successor for the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, as the weapon has a multi-round mag (not counting the Auto Sniper), and deals similar damage to the Semi-Auto. The only differences are the smaller clip sizes (10 v. 6) and the ability for the Scout to one-shot people.
  • This is the shortest-lived sniper rifle in Battle Royale, only being in the game for a month and four days.
  • This weapon is not compatible with the Chapter 2 map, as it will still show the original map but whited out.
    • This was fixed later on and the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle now supports the Chapter 2 map.
  • The Exotic Variant of the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle used to be sold by Lexa.
