Introduced Patch 1.6
Last Adjustment Silenced SMG Hotfix (November 17, 2017)
Vaulted Patch 2.5.0

The weapon being discussed in this page is the weapon referred to as the "Submachine Gun", during its appearance in the game in Seasons 1 and 2. This weapon is often referred to as the "Machine Pistol" due to an unused weapon in the game files called the Machine Pistol, which has very similar stats to this weapon. The name Machine Pistol also helps distinguish this weapon from the Submachine Gun, which is a weapon of the same name added in Season 5 and was brought back as the base SMG in Chapter 2: Season 1. The term Machine Pistol will be used to refer to original "Submachine Gun" for the remainder of this page.

This page will also be used for the leaked variant if and when it releases.

The Machine Pistol was an SMG in Battle Royale. It was available in Common, Uncommon, and Rare variants. It uses Light Bullets.

The Machine Pistol was Vaulted in Patch 2.5.0, making it therefore currently unavailable. It was vaulted because it was barely used by people with its low damage.

The weapon's code has been reused for the newer SMGs and then deleted, however, in Patch 10.00, new Machine Pistol files have appeared in the game files, hinting at it's plausible return.

The Common version of the new Machine Pistol was available temporarily in the Solid Gold LTM with the launch of Season X. It was replaced with the Legendary Compact SMG shortly after, as was intended. [1]

In Patch 13.20 the Submachine Gun became weaker then the Og Submachine Gun @ the Machine Pistol

Trivia

Machine Pistol

Leaked Machine Pistol Via @iRealCross

  • The Machine Pistol is heavily inspired by the TEC-9 Machine Pistol, and it also bears some minor similarities with the Tactical Submachine Gun and the Rapid Fire SMG.
  • The UZI version of the Machine Pistol strangely seems to have a slightly clear barrel.
  • It was the second item to ever be vaulted, following the Zapatron.
  • The reason why the Machine Pistol was vaulted was probably to free up space, because it was barely used, or because it was too similar to the Tactical Submachine Gun and was rarely used.
  • The new version of the Machine Pistol appeared on the side of the daily assignments board with the launch of Chapter 2: Season 2, but was later removed in 12.10 and replaced with the standard Submachine Gun. The reason behind this is unknown.
  • Its possible that this Weapon was replaced by the Rapid Fire SMG.
    • This is Evident from the firerate and Its reloadtime.
