Events are Fortnite in-game competitions where players can participate into tournaments that may include rewards and prizes for top performers. Tournaments are recurring, timed sessions that can feature any of the Game Modes or variants in Battle Royale. In order to participate, players need to select the Events tab and choose a tournament to compete. Some tournaments will require a Duo partner or full Squad prior to competing in the competition. During a tournament player can earn points for placing exceptionally well or by securing multiple eliminations in a match. Players will also be matched against opponents with similar points.
