An anomaly

Destroy the Anomaly Shards is a side objective in Save the World. It requires the player to find an anomaly cluster, destroy it, and then destroy the resulting anomaly shards. Anomalies can be found most often on the outskirts of the map. They make a faint buzzing sound that can help lead players to their location.

Objective

Players may use a Pickaxe or an AoE gun such as a Rocket Launcher or Tiny Instrument of Death to destroy the anomaly. Once the main anomaly cluster is destroyed, it will explode into four shards, which must also be destroyed. These shards can appear close to the ground or high in the air. If the player does not have a gun that can destroy the shards from a distance, they must destroy the shards with their pickaxe which may require building towers up to high-elevation shards.

• A cache of Ammo, Stone, Wood, Metal, or Traps

• Rework Anomaly
  • Anomaly rewards increased, changed from BluGlo to mission rewards.
  • Anomaly shards will take full damage from your Pickaxe, reduced damage from other melee weapons, and can no longer be damaged by projectiles (Throwing Stars, Rockets, ballers etc).
