Ziplines are a mobility feature introduced at the start of Season 7 in patch 7.0.0. They are found across the island. To ride a zipline, simply stand under the wire and press E. Whichever direction you are facing relative to the zipline is the direction you will travel. Note that you can neither collide or board a zipline while in a vehicle, however, the red metal posts are indestructible and can be collided with. There are no limits to how many players can be riding the same zipline at once, but if two or more players traveling in different directions collide, they will immediately fall off. While riding a zipline, you can jump to dismount, at the end of the zipline, you automatically dismount. By using movement keys mid-zip, players can change their direction of travel by facing the opposite way.

As well as mobility, ziplines also offer the ability to use weapons and items while traveling, however the player cannot build. Currently, colliding with another structure while on the zipline will cause you to dismount. Mounting a zipline with balloons tied to you will instantly get rid of them.

Most ziplines were removed in Season 8, and others were added around the Jungle Biome. In Chapter 2, a power line on the eastern side of the map is one of the few areas where ziplines can be found.
