Suppressed Submachine Gun is an SMG in Battle Royale. It is available in Common, Uncommon and Rare. With the Epic and Legendary variants exclusive to Spy Games. It uses Light Bullets, has a head shot multiplier of 1.75x, and has quieted shots & fires low damage bullets at an slow rate with good accuracy towards the start of firing, slowly trailing off, as well high damage dropoff.
It was unvaulted on December 29, 2019 for 24 hours. Following the Hand Cannon, this is the 12th weapon to be unvaulted for the Winterfest event.
The Uncommon and Rare variants were unvaulted for the third time in Patch 12.0. It can only be found from eliminating GhostHenchmen or looting chests inside the Ghost-controlled buildings' vaults. Its fire rate has been decreased to 7.8 and damage values were reverted to how they were in Patch 4.20 through Patch 4.50. Its headshot multiplier was also reduced from 2x to 1.75x, making the weapon generally worse than the Submachine Gun. Other features of this SMG were nerfed, such as accuracy and bloom. In Patch 12.20 and Patch 12.30, The Epic and Legendary variants of the Suppressed Submachine Gun were added in the Spy Games event.
The Common variant was unvaulted in Patch 14.00 and the Uncommon and Rare variants of the Suppressed SMG are no longer exclusive to obtain from Henchmen and Henchmen Chests.
Even though the Suppressed Submachine Gun has not been vaulted yet. In the Unvaulted LTM, it exists in the loot pool with other vaulted items. This may hint that the Suppressed Submachine Gun could potentially get vaulted in a future update or it may be a mistake that the Suppressed SMG exists in the LTM.
This week’s content update includes the Burst Submachine Gun, which shares a number of similarities with the Suppressed Submachine Gun (High DPS, Light Ammo, Rarity). Because of this overlap & not wanting to oversaturate itemization in any one area, we’ve decided to put the Suppressed back in the Vault.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun is at its most accurate during its first few shots where it beats out almost all other guns in the game. However, like most other suppressed guns, once its accuracy has fully decreased, it becomes extremely inaccurate.
Because it is a close range weapon, the Suppressed Submachine Gun's silenced aspect is not very useful. However, if two players fight with silenced guns, their fight will not be heard, generally allowing more time to heal or loot undetected post-fight.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun's damage drops off very quickly at range, making it a bad choice at further medium ranges.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun’s low, good magazine size, and average accuracy makes this weapon semi-useful in most short-closer medium range engagements. However, its damage falloff, low headshot multiplier, and extremely slow rate of fire will prevent it from being useful beyond there.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun has first shot accuracy. If it is your first weapon, its suppressor, and accuracy can be a semi-functional substitute for an Assault Rifle. It is suggested that if someone with a Suppressed Submachine Gun cannot find an assault rifle, they should either wait for the SMG to regain first shot accuracy between each shot or to fire the weapon in bursts of three for maximum accuracy. This is not very effective as its low damage output and similar fire rate to an Assault Rifle makes it take an extremely long time to eliminate your opponent.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun can quickly and silently destroy structures from a distance without being noticed.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun has heavy penalties for continuous fire and strafing, making it a not very useful choice to fire while moving, regardless of it being from the hip or while aiming down sights.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun is the only SMG that has first shot accuracy. This, combined with its slower fire rate and higher damage bullets make it an better option for medium range engagements over most other Submachine Guns.
Despite the Suppressed Submachine Gun has a 0.2 slower firerate than the Drum Gun, it can also be considered a Drum Gun in Chapter 2 Season 3 because the damage is the same. Plus, it has first shot accuracy and higher headshot multiplier. (×1.75) This is a thing that the Drum Gun doesn't have.
Despite the Suppressed Submachine Gun having higher damage than the Tactical Submachine Gun, it will almost always lose to the Tactical SMG. Since the Tactical has a higher fire rate and decent damage.
These SMGs deal 3 damage more than the standard Submachine Gun at a highly decelerated fire rate.
The Common, Uncommon, Rare variants despite being low tier, The Common and Uncommon variants deal the same damage as both rarities of the Compact SMG, the Epic and LegendaryTactical Submachine Gun, and the Epic, Legendary and MythicMinigun.
This is one of the two OG submachine gun that is in the game as of now. The Tactical SMG is also OG. The OG SMG is currently vaulted.
This is one of four weapons to be introduced then vaulted, then unvaulted and re-vaulted. The other three weapons are the Guided Missile (v3.5 Content Update - v5.10 Content Update, v6.21 - present), Clingers (v7.00 - v7.40, v9.00 - present), and the Dual Pistols (v6.21 - v7.10 CU#3, v9.30 - present).
This is currently the only item to be unvaulted thrice.
This is the third ever item to be unvaulted, following the Dual Pistols.
This is the first weapon to be vaulted three times. 1st being Patch 6.00, the next being 9.10 Content Update and the final being Patch 11.00. It is also the only weapon ever to be vaulted three times.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun is the second Submachine Gun to get all 5 main variants, the first was the Submachine Gun.
The Epic and Legendary Suppressed Submachine Gun's last 5 bullets deals double the damage (46/48), making it the highest damage SMG in Battle Royale.
Unlike other suppressed weapons, the Suppressed Submachine Gun deals more damage than the Submachine Gun, but fires 2.2 bullets fewer per second making it the lowest DPS but highest damage SMG currently available.
This is the only SMG in Battle Royale that can be used from medium-long range by it's good acurrace, but has an horrendous damage dropoff, like the Flint-Knock Pistol.
The Suppressed Submachine Gun, despite being a Submachine Gun, is slower than the Drum Gun, an Assault Rifle.
