Introduced Patch 9.41

The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle is a Sniper Rifle in Battle Royale. It is available in Epic and Legendary variants and has a headshot multiplier of x2.5. This sniper has an embedded weather map in it's scope that can lead players to the next storm circle before it appears on the main map and also has 100% no scope accuracy if you scope in on an enemy, then scope out. The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle can be found from floor loot, chests, vending machines, and supply drops. It uses Heavy Bullets.

The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle was added in Patch 9.41. It is Fortnite's FIRST proper bolt-action sniper, as the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle only fired one round from its magazine, while this sniper fires 6 rounds.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle is most likely based off a Modified Steyr Scout Bolt action Sniper Rifle.
  • This Sniper's mechanic of tracking multiple storms was the mechanic of the cut Eye of the Storm Tracker backpack.
  • It was revealed that the gun would also be in the game in Presents!. In the 9.40 Patch Notes. The weapon was leaked in the Presents! consumable in Playground for around two days before Epic fixed it.
  • It can be considered a bona-fide successor for the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, as the weapon has a multi-round mag (not counting the Auto Sniper), and deals similar damage to the Semi-Auto. The only differences are the smaller clip sizes (10 v. 6) and the ability for the Scout to one-shot people.
