Vaulted Patch 10.20

The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle was a Sniper Rifle in Battle Royale. It was available in Epic and Legendary variants and had a headshot multiplier of x2.5. This sniper had an embedded weather map in it's scope that lead players to the next Storm Circle before it appears on the main map. The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle could be found from floor loot, chests, vending machines, and supply drops. It used Heavy Bullets.

The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle was added in Patch 9.41, but was vaulted in Patch 10.20 due to the recent addition of the Automatic Sniper Rifle. It also was not used often and not very strong

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle is most likely based off a Modified Steyr Scout Bolt action Sniper Rifle.
  • This Sniper's mechanic of tracking multiple storms was the mechanic of the cut Eye of the Storm Tracker backpack.
  • It was revealed that the gun would also be in the game in Presents!. In the 9.40 Patch Notes. The weapon was leaked in the Presents! consumable in Playground for around two days before Epic fixed it.
  • It can be considered a bona-fide successor for the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, as the weapon has a multi-round mag (not counting the Auto Sniper), and deals similar damage to the Semi-Auto. The only differences are the smaller clip sizes (10 v. 6) and the ability for the Scout to one-shot people.
  • This is the shortest-lived sniper rifle in Battle Royale, only being in the game for a month and four days.
