Vaulted Patch 13.00

Remote Explosives (more commonly known as C4) were an Epic Explosive Weapon in Battle Royale. They allow the player to detonate explosions from a distance. They deal extreme damage to structures, able to destroy almost anything. Remote Explosives drop in stacks of 3 with a maximum stack size of 6, and can be found in Chests, Supply Drops, Supply Llamas and Vending Machines. The max amount of remote explosives that are able to be thrown and detonated is 30.

Remote Explosives used to be found in Rare but was amplified to Epic to match its power and damage on Patch 5.40. When detonated, Remote Explosives destroy everything in sight, making them very overpowered. Remote Explosives were Vaulted in Patch 6.00, therefore making them only available in Creative mode, but not in Playground Mode. In 7.20 Content Update they were added to Creative mode.

Remote Explosives have been unvaulted on Patch 12.0 or the initial release of Chapter 2 Season 2. However, the base damage Remote Explosives deal has been decreased back to 60.

In Patch 12.2, the explosion delay between each Remote Explosive has increased from 0.3 seconds to 0.5 seconds.

Remote Explosives have been vaulted on Patch 13.00 due to the item still being very overpowered after its nerf.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • Remote Explosives are detonated when shot.
  • If a player other than the one that placed the Remote Explosives shoots and detonates them, the ownership of the Remote Explosives is transferred upon detonation. This means that Remote Explosives can injure teammates if an opponent shoots the Remote Explosives before activation.
  • Similarly, careless players that stay too close to their Remote Explosives can have the tables turned on them and even be eliminated by what seemed to be their own weapon.
