Remote Explosives are an Epic explosive weapon in Battle Royale. It allows the player to detonate an explosion from a distance. They deal extreme damage to structures, able to destroy almost anything. Remote Explosives drop in stacks of 3 with a maximum stack size of 6, and can be found in Chests, Supply Drops, Supply Llamas and Vending Machines.

As of the 6.00 patch, Remote Explosives are vaulted and only available in Playground.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • Remote Explosives are detonated when shot.
  • If a player other than the one that placed the Remote Explosives shoots and detonates it, the ownership of the Remote Explosives is transferred upon detonation. This means that Remote Explosives can injure teammates if an opponent detonates the Remote Explosives before they are activated.
  • Similarly, careless opponents that stay too close to their Remote Explosives can have the tables turned on them and even be killed with what had seemed to be their own weapon.

    • All of the weapons/items added to the Vault in patch v6.0 will currently remain available in Playgrounds.

    • Drop count reduced from 4 to 3.

5.10 Remote Explosives Update (July 24, 2018)

Update
  • Remote Explosives are ready to be re-enabled after a bug fix and an adjustment to their explosion radius. The damage radius is now a unified 520 units, whereas in previous patches it was 600 units for structures and 400 units for players.
  • Remote Explosive charges must now stick to something before they can be detonated.

Patch 5.10 (July 24, 2018)

  • Supply Drop loot rates adjusted.
    • Remote Explosives to 10% from 3.3%

  • Remote Explosives will now only show damage numbers when damage is done to players.

Patch 4.4 (June 11, 2018)

Bug Fixes
  • You can now throw Remote Explosive while sprinting.

4.3 Content Update (June 5, 2018)

  • C4 structure explosion radius increased from 400 to 600.

Patch 4.2 (May 16, 2018)

Remote Explosives
  • They will now damage all structures within range, whether or not they are visible from the explosion center.
  • Damage radius and throw distance have been increased.
  • Delay between sequential explosions has been reduced from 0.25 seconds to 0.175 seconds.
  • Delay before detonating a charge or throwing another one has been reduced from 0.75 seconds to 0.15 seconds.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where Remote Explosives could destroy the meteor in Dusty Divot.
