Perks are modifiers attached to Weapons and Traps that are unlocked when the item is Upgraded to certain level thresholds. They can be Common, Rare, or Legendary

Level Thresholds[edit | edit source]

The number of perks possible on an item depends on the item's Rarity. The table below displays the number of possible perks for each rarity, and the level or evolution at which each perk can be unlocked.

Level 25 at slot

  • Causes Affliction Damage for 6 seconds
  • Damage dealt with this weapon snares the target by 30% for 6 seconds
  • Getting 5 headshots in a row increases ranged weapon damage +30% for 10 seconds
  • Headshot eliminations cause an explosion, damaging enemies within 0.5 tiles for 30% weapon damage
  • On kill: Spawn Roman Candle at enemy location (8 seconds cooldown)
  • Increases impact by 40%. Stun duration increased by 1 seconds
  • Bullets chain to one nearby target
  • +30% Weapon Damage when aiming down sights

Changes[edit | edit source]

Patch 4.5 (June 27, 2018)
  • Added several schematic perks, allowing for more creative stacking of certain perks:
    • For Melee Weapons, we added Life Leech and Fire Rate to the first and third perk slots respectively, and Heavy Attack Stamina Cost Reduction to the second slot.
    • For Ranged Weapons, we added Reload Speed and Magazine Size to the first and third slots, respectively.
  • Increased Lifesteal Perk effectiveness by 50%.

Patch 3.4 (March 14, 2018)

  • Reduced the chance of the following weapon perks being rolled to about 30% of what it was before:
    • Damage vs Affliction
    • Damage vs Slowed/Snared
    • Damage vs Stun/Knockback/Stagger
    • Critical Damage vs Affliction.

Patch 3.3 (March 14, 2018)

  • Critical Chance weapon and trap perks increased from 11.5% / 16.5% / 21% to 14% / 21% / 28%.
    • This reverts the change made to Critical Chance in the v3.2 patch.

Patch 3.2 (March 7, 2018)

  • Weapon Perks
    • Critical Damage vs. afflicted targets increased from 45% / 67.5% / 90% to 67.5% / 101% / 135%.
    • Critical Chance decreased from 14% / 21% / 28% to 11.5% / 16.5% / 21%.
    • Critical Damage increased from 30% / 45% / 60% to 45% / 67.5% / 90%.
    • Recoil changed from -20% / -30% / -40% Reduced Recoil to +20% / +30% / +40% Weapon Stability.
    • Heavy Attack Cost changed from -9% / -13% / -17% Heavy Attack Energy Cost to +10% / +15% / +20% Heavy Attack Efficiency.
    • Fire Rate increased from 12% / 18% / 24% to 14% / 21% / 28%.
    • Reload Speed increased from 15% / 22.5% / 30% to 25% / 38% / 50%.
    • Clip Size decreased from 30% / 45% / 60% to 25% / 38% / 50%.
    • Durability Decay increased from 10% / 15% / 20% to 14% / 21% / 28%.
  • Trap Perks
    • Max Durability increased from 8% / 12% / 16% to 14% / 21% / 28%.
    • Reload Speed increased from 12% / 18% / 24% to to 14% / 21% / 28%.
    • Critical Chance decreased from 14% / 21% / 28% to 11.5%/16.5%/21%.
    • Critical Damage increased from 30% / 45% / 60% to 45% / 67.5% /90%.
