Heavy Sniper Rifle is a Sniper Rifle in Battle Royale. It is available in Epic and Legendary variants. It delivers devastating damage at the cost of having a very long reload time. It deals massive damage to buildings, able to destroy anything except containers in one hit. Bullets fired from the Heavy Sniper have less bullet drop in comparison to other Sniper Rifles. It uses Heavy Bullets.

Weapons + Items
  • Loot drop rate adjustments
  • Increased Epic Heavy Sniper Rifle drop chance from 0.33% to 0.4%
  • Increased Legendary Heavy Sniper Rifle drop chance from 0.07% to 0.13%
  • Note: The overall number of Explosive Weapons and Snipers in a given game has not changed, however, there is a greater distribution of rarity and variants.

Bug Fixes
  • Adjusted the timing of the Heavy Sniper reload animation to match more closely to when the bullet is reloaded.

Patch 5.21 (August 15, 2018)

Heavy Sniper added
  • Available in Epic and Legendary variants.
  • Can be found from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines.
  • Each shot delivers devastating damage at the cost of a long reload.
  • Deals 150/157 damage to players.
    • These large rounds deal increased damage (1050/1100) to buildings.
    • Projectiles fired from the Heavy Sniper have less bullet drop in comparison to other Snipers.

  • The Heavy Sniper Rifle is perhaps the only weapon in Fortnite that has a built-in muzzle brake.
  • The Heavy Sniper Rifle bears resemblance to the Barrett M82 Anti-Material Rifle.
