Heavy Assault Rifle is an Assault Rifle in Battle Royale. It was available in Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants, but was changed to Common, Uncommon and Rare in Patch v8.10. It uses Medium Bullets and has a head shot multiplier of x2.0. The Heavy Assault Rifle is wildly inaccurate while firing continuously and therefore should be fired with first shot accuracy most of the time. The Heavy Assault Rifle can be found from floor loot, Chests, and the Rare variant from Vending Machines.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • The Heavy Assault Rifle quickly becomes one of the worst weapons in the game in terms of accuracy. It is advised to wait for its first shot accuracy to reset before firing each shot.
  • Take time aiming with the Heavy Assault Rifle. Its high damage shots are worth it, and missing a shot will cost the player crucial time waiting for first shot accuracy to reset.
  • Despite its high damage, the low accuracy and fire rate of the Heavy Assault Rifle make it generally unsuited to destroying materials.
  • As of Patch 9.30, all the variants of the Heavy Assault Rifle are able to eliminate a 100 health player in 3 shots. However to do 200 damage, the Common variant has to fire 6 shots to eliminate an opponent while the Uncommon and Rare can do it in 5. However you can kill a 200 health player in 3 headshots of any variant.
  • The Heavy Assault Rifle does above 75 damage on a head shot. Two head shots will bring an opponent to a low enough amount of health to be eliminated with almost anything.
  • The Common variant of the Heavy Assault Rifle does slightly more damage than the Legendary variant of the Assault Rifle (Battle Royale) However, you probably should pick up the Legendary Assault Rifle (SCAR) over any of the Heavy Assault Rifle variants as it is an overall better weapon.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Heavy Assault Rifle seems to be inspired by the Zastava M70B3 based on the world-famous Russian AK-47 or AKM assault rifles, although it appears to have an AK-103-style muzzle brake. This weapon, in FPS or other shooters, is also referred to as the "Kalashnikov" rifle, as a reference to its creator, Mikhail Kalashnikov.
  • The Heavy Assault Rifle is the first Heavy gun to have Common, Uncommon, and Rare variants.
  • It was once the most powerful assault rifle with its Legendary variant dealing 46 damage, but in Patch 8.10, the Legendary variant was changed to Rare, and the damage was reduced down to 40 (later 42). Nowadays, the Legendary Infantry Rifle is the most powerful assault rifle, dealing 44 damage.
  • The Heavy Assault Rifle somehow has the same pullout sound as the Submachine Gun.
