|Vaulted||7.20 Content Update|
The Grappler is a formerly Battle Royale, currently only found as its variant. It can be fired at nearby objects to pull the player towards it (fall damage still applies). The shots could be chained to travel greater distances. The Grappler has infinite charges (10 charges and was discarded when all charges have been depleted before it was unvaulted). It can be found in floor loot, Treasure Chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas.item in
It was first introduced along with the High Stakes Event.
The Grappler was vaulted in the 7.20 Content Update, making it only available in Playground, Creative, Team Rumble, Slide and Unvaulted. It was vaulted due to just gaining high ground on someone in a matter of seconds, due to that item being extremely overpowered. In Chapter 2 Season 1, it was removed from Playground and Team Rumble.
In Chapter 2 Season 2, the Grappler has been unvaulted, but only the rarity. The original Grappler however stays in the vault. The variant has infinite uses. It can only be obtained from defeating Skye at the The Shark. Only one can be found per match and drops with Skye's Assault Rifle.
The Patch 12.2, it now has a slower recharge rate. Due to glitches and it being overpowered.Grappler has been nerfed in
