The Battle Royale Island is the main battle arena of Battle Royale. It consists of a 10x10 grid with many major named locations and unnamed POIs (points of interest). Each Season, new map locations or areas are introduced or removed. Sometimes Patches change the map in some way, such as the building in Tilted Towers being built.

Points of Interest[edit | edit source]

POIs (points of interest) are notable locations on the Battle Royale Island, ranging from specific named places and sites to smaller settlements. The current version of the map has the following points of interest:

Happy Hamlet[edit | edit source]

Main article: Happy Hamlet

Happy Hamlet is a small alpine-style town, or a hamlet, with many shops, residential buildings and a clock tower. It is located at the southern part of the map, at the D9 coordinate. Happy Hamlet replaced the previous location, Flush Factory, in Season 7.

Frosty Flights[edit | edit source]

Frosty Flights is located at the southwestern corner of the map at the coordinates A8-B8. It is a large military airbase, with two hangars.

Polar Peak[edit | edit source]

Main article: Polar Peak

Polar Peak is located at the southwest part of the map at the coordinate C8. It is a collapsed and broken iceberg with chunks of ice and a former castle, along with several buildings at the top of the iceberg. A monster was previously sighted inside the iceberg, but eventually broke out taking the castle with it.

Junk Junction[edit | edit source]

Junk Junction is located at the northwestern corner of the map at coordinates B1-B2, north of Haunted Hills. It is a wrecking yard with heavy equipment and piles of scrap metal and compacted cars. Contains parts of the old clock tower from former Tilted Towers. There are more structures and some old furniture from the same location.

Haunted Hills[edit | edit source]

Haunted Hills is located at the northwestern corner of the map at coordinates B2, south of Junk Junction and northwest of Pleasant Park. It is a cemetery with sheds, tombstones and a church.

Pleasant Park[edit | edit source]

Pleasant Park is located at the northwestern part of the map at coordinates C3-C4, between Haunted Hills and Loot Lake. It is a suburban residential neighborhood with houses and an open American football field.

Sunny Steps[edit | edit source]

Sunny Steps is located at the northeastern part of the map at coordinates H3-H3, I4-I4, north of Lonely Lodge and east of Lazy Lagoon. It is a temple with a pyramid and other shrine buildings.

Snobby Shores[edit | edit source]

Snobby Shores is located at the western part of the map at coordinates A5, north of Frosty Flights and southwest of Pleasant Park. It is a neighborhood on the shore with luxury houses and villa, 4 of which were taken over by Vikings. The 5th house was fortified before being destroyed by the Polar Peak Monster.

Loot Lake[edit | edit source]

Loot Lake is located northeast of Neo Tilted and southeast of Pleasant Park at the coordinates E4. It is a lake with many small islands. In the centre is a metal plate uncovered by diggers with a large hatch that leads to a vault. There are a few outposts at the east of the lake close to the dig site uncovered in Season 8. In Season 9 3 futuristic buildings appeared, which replaced the two factories at the west side of the lake but were alter destroyed by the Polar Peak Monster. There is also a large power cord that runs from the vault to Neo Tilted, it seems like the vault is supplying power to Neo Tilted. The area dug up in the middle of the lake is now growing grass and trees. Originally it was a lake with an island in the middle. It had a house on it. On the shore of the lake, there were two factories.

Dusty Divot[edit | edit source]

Dusty Divot is located at the center of the map at coordinates F5-F6, G5-G6, north of Salty Springs and west of Mega Mall. There was once an active facility in the center of the crater which studied the meteor. Now it's abandoned and overgrown. The remains of Dusty Depot's warehouses are still standing at the outer rim of the crater. The remains have been converted into Dusty Diner, complete with a gift shop, a dining area, and relics exhibiting what happened to cause Dusty Divot. Dusty Divot destroyed half of Dusty Depot in Season 4 when the Meteor hit. In Season 8 the centre facility was later dug up by the government, revealing some items from the former Dusty Depot and lava.

Mega Mall[edit | edit source]

Mega Mall is located at the eastern part of the map at coordinates H6, east of Dusty Divot and north of Paradise Palms. It is a giant futuristic mall surrounded by a parking lot and a small neighborhood. It replaced Retail Row after it was destroyed by the Volcano during the Unvaulting Event.

Lonely Lodge[edit | edit source]

Lonely Lodge is located at the eastern part of the map at coordinates I5-I6, J5-J6, south of Sunny Steps and east of Mega Mall. It is a location with many lodges in a forested area with flowing water, steep cliffs, woodsheds and a high watchtower.

Salty Springs[edit | edit source]

Salty Springs is located at the southern part of the map at coordinates F7, west of Shifty Shafts and south of Dusty Divot. It is residential area with houses and a gas station. The blue house also has a hidden bunker under it.

Neo Tilted[edit | edit source]

Neo Tilted is located at the western part of the map at coordinates D5-D6, between Loot Lake and Shifty Shafts. It is a futuristic city. It replaced Tilted Towers after it was obliterated by the Volcano during the Unvaulting Event.

Shifty Shafts[edit | edit source]

Shifty Shafts is located at the southwestern part of the map at coordinates D7, east of Polar Peak and south of Tilted Towers. It is an underground mineshaft with minecarts, buildings and trucks.

Fatal Fields[edit | edit source]

Fatal Fields is located at the southern part of the map at coordinates F8-F9, G8-G9, north of Lucky Landing and west of Paradise Palms. It is a farm with barns, a stable, corn fields, ponds and a white farmhouse in the middle.

Paradise Palms[edit | edit source]

Main article: Paradise Palms

Paradise Palms is located at the southeastern corner of the map at coordinates H8-I8, east of Fatal Fields. It is a small city with a hotel and three stores. Paradise Palms is covered entirely in desert. Paradise Palms replaced the previous location, Moisty Mire, in Season 5.

Lucky Landing[edit | edit source]

Lucky Landing is located at the southern part of the map at coordinates F10, east of Happy Hamlet, and south of Fatal Fields. It is a town with traditional Asian-inspired houses with thatched roofs, shrines and a pink cherry blossom tree.

Lazy Lagoon[edit | edit source]

Lazy Lagoon is a POI located at the northern part of the map at F3 northwest of Pressure Plant, far east of The Block and far north of Dusty Divot . It is a pirate-themed lakeside town with a giant pirate ship and several islands surrounding it.

The Block[edit | edit source]

Main article: The Block

The Block is a location located at the northwestern side of the map, replacing what was formerly the Motel. This is where creations that are made in creative mode are displayed. It replaced Risky Reels at the beginning of Season 7 as part of the patch 7.00, and was moved to replace the Motel as it’s old location became an Expedition Outpost in patch 8.00.

Pressure Plant[edit | edit source]

Main article: Pressure Plant

Pressure Plant is a POI located on the northeast part of the map, replacing the Volcano in Season 9. It is currently a factory constructing a huge robot to fight the Polar Peak monster.

Unnamed POIs[edit | edit source]

* All unnamed POIs listed have more than 3 structures, fixed floor loot spawns and more than 3 chests. Smaller POIs such as single houses and buildings are documented on their grid coordinates.

Dead Grid[edit | edit source]

The following coordinates are considered as dead grids that are mostly unexplorable and covered with water, though may have also small amounts of land in them: A1, E1, F1, G1, H1, I1, J1, A2, J2, A3, A9, J9, A10, B10, C10, G10, I10 and J10.

Map Markers[edit | edit source]

Map markers are icons that players can place on the map. It is mainly used to mark a place that players will lands at, go toward, etc. There are blue, purple, red, and yellow markers depending on what the color your character is represented with.

Challenge Games[edit | edit source]

Challenge Games was an area on the Battle Royale Map exclusively added in Playground mode that is composed of Port-a-Challenge variations spawned in one area on the sky. The challenge games are no longer available in playground or any other mode.

  • Added specialization to the sound played when a marker is placed on the map. Now you will hear it coming from where the in-world marker was placed.
