Fall damage is a type of damage applied when a player exceeds the maximum jumping height threshold.

Save the World[edit | edit source]

Battle Royale[edit | edit source]

Fall damage can also occur in Battle Royale in a number of ways, and it must first be possible by having a player reach a high height, whether by building, or by landing on a place where it is easy to fall from. Players can fall from a great height by themselves on accident, or another player can eliminate them by using a weapon that causes them to fall (e.g., severing a ramp the player was on by shooting at its base). If the fall results in a total loss of health, it is credited as a self-KO or self-elimination in the former, or a KO/elimination for the other player in the case of the latter. It happens when players fall from a cliff as well.

Fall damage bypasses any Shield Points the player had accrued, requiring players to play more carefully and watch their steps to avoid an early, sudden demise. The amount of health lost by the fall depends on how far the player fell, with the minimum height where fall damage becomes possible being 20 meters while the maximum is the build height limit. It is possible for a player to break one's fall if he/she is descending near a wall by building a platform that connects to it. Another way to negate the damage is to throw an Impulse Grenade or Shockwave Grenade to the ground and land on the ensuing explosion to break the fall, although this technique requires highly skilled timing. One more way to negate fall damage is by using a Bouncer.

In Season 6, players that have consumed a Shadow Stone will be immune to fall damage while invisible.

Near the end of Season 8, the Shadow Bomb was introduced, making the player immune to fall damage while invisible for 6 seconds.

When a player gets killed by fall damage themselves, the Elimination Feed would say "[player name] didn't stick the landing (Distance in meters)".

When a player kills an opposing player with a fall, the Elimination Feed would say "[player #1] eliminated [player #2] with a great fall (Distance in meters)".
