Crossbow is a bow that was available in Battle Royale. It was available in Rare and Epic variants. It uses Arrows as infinite ammo and has a headshot multiplier of 2.5x. It reloads every arrow, after each shot, like the Pump Shotgun. The weapon was introduced in Season 3, and it remained in the game till May 1st, 2018, when, with the release of Season 4, it got vaulted.
The Crossbow was unvaulted on June 28th for 24 hours, Following the Burst Assault Rifle, as part of the 14 Days of Summer event.
Even though it is not available in Creative inventory, the Crossbow, along with Birthday Presents and Port-A-Challenges, is still obtainable in the mode via the travel through islands glitch.
The Crossbow has appeared several times on the Summer Splash event, in LTMs like One Shot, Fog Of War, Unvaulted and Arsenal.

Strategy[edit | edit source]
- The crossbow's arrows are slower and curved than sniper rifles bullets, so you have to predict better where the projectile will land, before shooting.
- For this weapon, the ammunitions aren't a problem, because arrows are infinite.
- Of course for this advantage, it has some downsides. In fact it shoot and reload really slow, and after every arrow, it has the reaload animation of the next arrow, like the Pump Shotgun and Lever Action Rifle.
- To bypass this last, you just have to switch to an another weapon and to re-switch to the crossbow. In fact thanks to this method you can do "Double-Crossbow".
- Of course for this advantage, it has some downsides. In fact it shoot and reload really slow, and after every arrow, it has the reaload animation of the next arrow, like the Pump Shotgun and Lever Action Rifle.
- Even having a headshot multiplier of 2.5x, it stills not able to deal 200. Ironically for just 1 damage for the Epic variant.
- The same situation could be also found on Weapons like the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle and Heavy Shotgun.
- The crossbow, together with the Cupid's Crossbow and Fiend Hunter Crossbow, are useless to destroy structures, due to only dealing 1.
- The crossbow is the most silent weapon in game, so missing one or more arrows won't make your position on risk.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Originally the Cupid's Crossbow was also called crossbow but it was changed in Patch 3.0
- Due to loot settings not being updated to reflect the then-current patch, 50v50 V2 allowed access to the Crossbow for a short period of time despite it being Vaulted. The loot for 50v50 has since been updated.
- It was the fourth item to be Vaulted after the Smoke Grenade.
- Strangely in the Unvaulted LTM, the crossbow can be also found from Supply Drops, Supply Llamas and from larger Ammo Boxes.
