Last Adjustment Patch 11.0

Burst Assault Rifle, formerly called Assault Rifle (Burst), is an Assault Rifle in Battle Royale. It is available in Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The Burst Assault Rifle's Common, Uncommon and Rare variants were first vaulted in patch 7.10.4, then the Epic and Legendary variants in patch 7.30. All 5 rarities were unvaulted in patch 11.0. It fires in 3-round bursts and uses Medium Bullets. The Burst Assault Rifle was also Vaulted due to the weapon being relatively useless due to the existence of other various assault rifles and players rarely using the weapon. It got unvaulted by increasing its rate of fire.

The Burst Assault Rifle had been unvaulted for 24 hours on June 27th, 2019 for the 14 Days of Summer event, Following by the Quad Launcher, this weapon was the third weapon to be unvaulted for the event.

Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]

Burst Assault Rifle
Pros Cons
Although damage is poor compared to the normal Assault rifle, landing headshots three times in one burst is pretty effective. The fire rate is extremely low compared to most assault rifles.
Dealing with the low damage and fire rate, the weapon has a somewhat great accuracy, especially the epic and legendary variants. At very long range, it has a higher chance of missing some of the burst. Stick to mid- and close-range for the best accuracy.
Waiting for the crosshair to go to FSA will provide a great deal of accuracy. It has a long reload time.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

Unused Burst Assault Rifle Model
  • The Common, Uncommon, and Rare Burst Assault Rifles used a similar model as the Save the World Lynx, the other two variants are not based off of any StW item.
  • Though officially called the "Burst Assault Rifle", it was commonly called the 'Burst', 'Triple Burst', '3 Burst AR' or 'Burst AR'. The Common, Uncommon and Rare variants are often called the FAMAS due to their similarity to the real life FAMAS assault rifle. The Epic and Legendary variants are often called AUG due to the design being based off of the real life AUG assault rifle.
  • In the Unvaulted Gamemode, the Burst Rifles are extremely useful during early game, but the Light Machine Gun might be a better choice during late game.
  • Curiously enough, the FAMAS was originally conceived to be added into the game not as a FAMAS, but rather a G36C (or Gewehr Sechs-und-Dreissig Compact in German) short-barrel rifle. However, the idea got cut before making it into the final game.
  • The Common through Rare Burst Rifles are actually not good in terms of accuracy, but strangely the last two rarities are built with true precision. When completely still and aiming down sights, the Epic and Legendary will ALWAYS have first shot accuracy per shot (it only does the first shot per trigger but it repeats).
