History
Introduced Patch 1.6
Last Adjustment Patch 9.40

The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is a Sniper Rifle in Battle Royale. It is available in Rare, Epic and Legendary variants and has a head shot multiplier of 2.5x. It uses Heavy Bullets.

The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle's Legendary variant was first vaulted on Patch 5.40, and the Rare and Epic variants were vaulted on Patch 7.30, making it currently only available in Playground Mode and Creative. It was vaulted to clean up space and to replace it with the Suppressed Sniper Rifle. However, all three variants of the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle were unvaulted on Patch 9.40, replacing the Suppressed Sniper Rifle.

The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle was unvaulted in Patch 9.40, with the Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants being unvaulted, however the Legendary variant is currently not in Creative mode.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is one of the most powerful Sniper Rifles in Battle Royale, able to deal massive damage to a target and also being able to eliminate a player with full health and full shield with a headshot. It is, however, slow to reload, so it is advisable to carry a fast-firing backup weapon.
  • For when one misses a shot or only deals damage to the body against a target, an Assault Rifle is ideal to suppress the enemy in case they want to hide or run away to replenish health (if the situation allows for such strategy).
  • If a player has two Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles, they can aim at something, fire, immediately switch to the second rifle and fire again.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is based on the Arctic Warfare sniper rifles family, though it is normally known as the "AWP" (Arctic Warfare Police) due to its popularity in shooter games like Counter Strike even if it wasn't an actual AWP rendered in these games. In real-life the AWP is fairly rare, and the Arctic Warfare or Arctic Warfare Magnum chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum or above rather than 7.62x51mm NATO and other similar length cartridges tends to be more common. It is also possible to get Arctic Warfares chambered for .50 BMG and .338 Lapua Magnum rounds.
  • Unlike its real-life counterpart, the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle fits only one bullet in its magazine, and is technically semi-automatic due to the mechanism's function (the bolt is only operated when the rifle is empty). Generally, real life Bolties, or Arctic Warfare Police/Magnum rifles, would have a 5 or 10-round magazine.
  • It is highly likely that the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle was vaulted in favor of the Suppressed Sniper Rifle that was added in the third v7.10 Content Update, due to the fact that it comes in higher rarities, has a stealth advantage due to a reduced sound profile, and a faster reload, at the cost of roughly 9% less damage. After all, if you have two weapons that are roughly the same, but one is quieter, the other weapon is rendered pointless.
  • There used to be a Legendary variant, but it was removed in Patch 5.40, making it only available in the Unvaulted LTM. However, the Legendary variant was unvaulted alongside the Rare and Epic variants of the Bolt-Action on Patch 9.40.
  • It has similar coloring to the Epic and Legendary Assault Rifle.
  • The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle has an appearance identical to that of the Scoped Dragonfly that can be obtained in Save the World.
  • The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle's Legendary variant was even unvaulted for the 13th day of 14 Days of Summer event.
  • As the Suppressed Sniper Rifle was vaulted in Patch 9.40, the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle was unvaulted in Rare,Epic and Legendary variants.
  • This is one of the three weapons to have a specific rarity vaulted and then unvaulted, in this case the Legendary Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle (vaulted on v5.40 and unvaulted on v9.40) The other weapon is the Common variant of the Suppressed Submachine Gun (vaulted on v5.40 and then unvaulted on v7.30) and the Common variant of the Infantry Rifle vaulted on v8.10 and then unvaulted on v10.00 Content Update.
  • This item was unvaulted in the 14 Days of Summer for 24 hours, then just 10 days after being put back in the vault it was unvaulted again, ironically.
  • This is the twelfth item to be unvaulted, following the Revolver.
