Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is one of the most powerful Sniper Rifles in Battle Royale, able to deal massive damage to a target and also being able to eliminate a player with full health and full shield with a headshot. It is, however, slow to reload, so it is advisable to carry a fast-firing backup weapon.
  • For when one misses a shot or only deals damage to the body against a target, an Assault Rifle is ideal to suppress the enemy in case they want to hide or run away to replenish health (if the situation allows for such strategy).
  • If a player has two Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles, they can aim at something, fire, immediately switch to the second rifle and fire again.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is based on the Arctic Warfare sniper rifles family, though it is normally known as the "AWP" (Arctic Warfare Police) due to its popularity in shooter games like Counter Strike even if it wasn't an actual AWP rendered in these games. In real-life the AWP is fairly rare, and the Arctic Warfare or Arctic Warfare Magnum chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum or above rather than 7.62x51mm NATO and other similar lenght cartridges tends to be more common.
  • Unlike its real-life counterpart, the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle fits only one bullet in its magazine.
  • Many people didn't understand why the Boltie (as it's nicknamed by the community) was vaulted, but if one looks at the weapon releases, it was obvious why - basically when the Suppressed Sniper Rifle was released, it was basically the same weapon, just with a muffler tacked on.
  • The Bolt-Action and the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle are both OG (meaning they were added at the start of Battle Royale) and both of them have been Vaulted, making the sniper class made up entirely of snipers that were not added at the start of Battle Royale.
  • There used to be a Legendary variant, but it got removed in Patch 5.40, making it only available in the Unvaulted LTM.
