Blitz Showdown is a Battle Royale Limited Time Mode (LTM) where individual player stats are tracked in a competitive atmosphere for a limited time. This gamemode was released on June 1, 2018[1] during Patch 4.3.

This LTM will end on June 4, 2018 at 10:00am ET.

LTM Rules and Gameplay[]

In Blitz Showdown, matches progress according the settings of Blitz V2:

Storm zone icon Storm and Map[]

  • The storm is already closing at the beginning of the match.
  • Wait time between storms is significantly shorter than usual; maximum match length is 15 minutes.

Loot icon Loot[]

  • Adjustments to loot availability:
    • Increased chances of treasure chests spawning from 50-70% to 80-90%.
    • Increased chances of ammo boxes spawning from 65-80% to 85-95%.
    • Floor Loot spawns nearly 100% of the time.
    • Supply Drop spawn interval lessened from 180s (+/- 30s) to 80s (+/- 20s).
    • Supply Drop descent time shortened from 60s to 30s.
    • Launchpad spawn likelihood greatly increased.
  • Harvesting resources doubled.
  • Increased materials found on ground from 30 to 75 per instance
  • Resources found in loot increased from 30 to 100.

Point System[]

Performance in Solo Showdown is tracked by a point system based upon how many opponents were outlived. The points rewarded are as follows:

Note: Only the first 50 matches played will count towards a player's point total.

The top ranked competitors in this game mode receive a prize. The prizes are as follows:

  • 1st Place:  20,000 V-bucks iconV-Bucks
  • 2nd - 5th  Place:  13,500 V-bucks iconV-Bucks
  • 6th – 100th Place:  7,500 V-bucks iconV-Bucks
