Automatic Sniper Rifle was a sniper rifle that is available in Rare, Epic and Legendary variants. It uses Medium Bullets as ammunition instead of the usual Heavy Bullets. This sniper is fully automatic, has a x2.0 headshot multiplier instead of normal x2.5, holds a magazine of 16 bullets and the projectiles it fires are faster than any sniper. The Automatic Sniper Rifle has been vaulted in Patch 11.0 in order to free up space. It was also vaulted due to not many people using it in game.
The Automatic Sniper Rifle has been brought back in the Fog of Wars LTM, it was probably unintended.
The Automatic Sniper Rifle was underperforming to some of the other Sniper Rifles. This adjustment to damage should make it more desirable as an alternative long-range weapon.
The Automatic Sniper Rifle is inspired by the VSS Vintorez Sniper Rifle, due to the similar stock, scope, and overall design of the weapon.
The reload animation for this sniper is the same animation as the Heavy Sniper Rifle.
This is not the first automatic Sniper as the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle was automatic, however, it technically just fired out a bullet when the trigger was held.
The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle and Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle could be considered better than this weapon because it has more damage and headshot multiplier, does not consume a lot of ammo, and pretty basic and common to find. It also reloads faster than the Automatic Sniper Rifle.
This is arguably the worst sniper in the game due to the long reload, reduced zoom, and the low damage.
Unlike other snipers though, the point is to continuesly shoot. It still takes 0.75 seconds to kill someone.
If the Automatic Sniper had the same projectile bullets as the Scoped Assault Rifle, this weapon would be very overpowered regarding damage values and fire rate.
The Rare - Legendary variants would have almost the exact same stats as the Infantry Rifle in the same rarities.
It was probably discarded because, when it had the old damage values, it would have dealt only 30. However, with the current damage values, it would be viable.
