Assault Rifle is an Assault Rifle available in Battle Royale. It is available in Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants. It is a mid to long range weapon that fires at a moderate rate of fire, great damage, moderate reload, and a magazine of 30 bullets. It uses Medium Bullets and has a headshot multiplier of x2.0. The Assault Rifle constantly shoots bullets that do moderate damage with quite good accuracy when aiming down sights. All five rarities of the Assault Rifle can be found from floor loot, Chests and from fishing. Its Legendary variant can also be found in Supply Drops.

The Assault Rifle's Legendary variant was once available in Buried Treasure, and the Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants on Vending Machines, but they were vaulted.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • The Assault Rifle is a solid choice for every player's arsenal, as it has good damage and great range, allowing for medium to long range attacks. It can also be used for close range, but it does not deal as much damage as a Shotgun and does not fire as fast as a submachine gun.
  • Because of its large 30 round magazine capacity, one can shoot continuously for suppressive fire against a target, but the recoil will reduce accuracy, making it difficult to damage the target, especially at longer ranges.
  • Being one of the most common weapons in the game, the player can make use of it as a replacement for most pistols, submachine guns, and other fast firing weapons.
  • It can be acceptable substitute for sniper rifles when used correctly, reserving space for a shotgun and anything the player may need, such as consumables and items. It is not a full substitute for a sniper rifle, however, as the damage drop-off and bullet spread on the gun makes combat at very long ranges difficult to impossible, which is where a sniper rifle excels. It can function like a heavy submachine gun of sorts, however the relatively slow fire rate of 330RPM (5.5) means that one will likely be outgunned by a Common MP5 Submachine Gun.
  • The Epic and Legendary variants of the Assault Rifle are capable of eliminating an opponent in one less bullet than the lower tier versions.
  • It's fast, accurate output of good damage makes it a great choice for building destruction at any range.

Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]

Pros Cons
The weapon has a moderate fire rate, moderate damage, moderate reload, little recoil, and moderate accuracy. It should not be used at close range, as an SMG or Shotgun could quickly eliminate players.
It is a pretty balanced weapon compared to other weapons. The recoil will reduce the accuracy.
It is great at mid to long ranges. If used, using the automatic capabilities will cause some slight recoil and accuracy changes.

Changes[edit | edit source]

Weapon + Items

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Although all rarities of the Assault Rifle are officially referred to as "Assault Rifle", the community frequently refers to the Common, Uncommon, and Rare variants as the M16A1/M4A1 and the Epic and Legendary variants as the SCAR.
  • It was the first weapon to have all 5 rarities.
  • The Assault Rifle is the only original Battle Royale weapon, from Chapter 1 Season 1, that has not been vaulted or had a rarity removed once.
