Hello Homebase Heroes!

Love is starting to fill the halls of Homebase and Major Oswald is not impressed! Here’s a look at what’s coming to Save the World over the next few updates.

LOVE RANGER JONESY AIMS FOR THE HEART![edit | edit source]

“Fear not Commanders... I never miss!” - Love Ranger Jonesy

  • Standard Perk: Power Impact
    • Increases Shockwave Radius by 37.5%
  • Commander Perk: Power Impact+
    • Increases Shockwave Radius by 112.5%

Available from the Event Store starting February 7 at 7PM ET until February 20 at 4AM ET.

HEARTBREAKER CROSSBOW[edit | edit source]

The crossbow of love! Fires an arrow that drops over time and pierces through enemies.

Chaos Physics System[edit | edit source]

At launch, our goal is to ensure that Fortnite still feels like what you would expect. We’ll be closely monitoring your feedback from the in-game Feedback tool for any issues you may be experiencing.

To report issues via the in-game Feedback tool, select Feedback in the main menu and choose Bug. We encourage you to put “Physics” in the subject line and include a concise message in the body that accurately describes the issue(s) you’re experiencing.

ANTI-CUDDLE SARAH[edit | edit source]

“Keep your cooties to yourself!” - Anti-Cuddle Sarah

  • Standard Perk: Rapid Charge
    • Melee weapon eliminations grant 7.5 Energy
  • Commander Perk: Rapid Charge+
    • Melee weapon eliminations grant 22.5 Energy

UPDATE ON COSMETICS[edit | edit source]

Homebase is in the final stages of bringing Outfits and Backblings to your locker and there are still a few critical bugs that need squashing before it’s ready to release. Because of this we’re now aiming for the v12.10 update for Outfits / Backblings as we continue testing and fixing issues. Your Commanders will be ready to battle in style in the near future.

DUNGEONS AND FROSTNITE LEAVING SOON![edit | edit source]

Descend into the depths and confront a sinister monster! Complete those quest and unlock those Heroes because Dungeons are taking their slumber in the v12.0 Update. Fear not Heroes! Dungeons will return at a later date.

MAJOR BUG FIXES[edit | edit source]

Fixed an issue that causes Commanders to get stuck on their inventory screen while playing in Dungeons with a controller.

Battle Royale[edit | edit source]

v11.50 brings a new event and more to Battle Royale! The changes in this update include:

  • Love and War has begun!
    • Play the new, community-made Search and Destroy LTM.
    • Includes new Challenges that can be completed for special rewards.
    • For all the details, read our Love and War post here.
  • In non-competitive playlists, the Launch Pad has been unvaulted.
  • Implemented Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system, mentioned previously here.

Bug fixes:

  • Resolved an issue involving some players’ completion of the “Search chests in a single match” Chaos Rising Challenge not being saved.
  • The “Earn Gold Scavenger Medals” Rippley vs. Sludge Overtime Challenge now tracks progress properly.
  • The Sidegrading feature is no longer present in competitive playlists. Its presence in these playlists was unintentional, as noted in our v11.40 post.
  • Resolved an issue involving new players on consoles having difficulty matchmaking after first linking their Epic account.
  • Addressed reports of iOS players activating their device’s swipe-up feature when trying to press inventory buttons.

ISLANDS[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed an issue with the underwater post-process effect on the Archipelago Island and the resulting loss of the effect when the island is loaded.

GAMEPLAY[edit | edit source]

  • Added a new value to the HUD Info Type option in My Island UI settings.
    • Round Status: Shows a representation of how many players are active or eliminated for each team and the current number of Rounds won by each team.
      • Only valid for games with 2 teams.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where players were able to gain credit for completing challenges after leaving a game and returning to the hub.
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to aim down sights when pressing the right mouse button on PC.
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to shoot or swing their pickaxe after respawning in a Boxfight game.

CREATIVE TOOLS + PHONE[edit | edit source]

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Overview Map and Minimap could show corrupted textures on Android devices.

DEVICES[edit | edit source]

  • Added additional values to various options for the Round Settings device.
    • Wood Given Per Round: 15, 20.
    • Brick Given Per Round: 15, 20.
    • Metal Given Per Round: 15, 20.
    • Gold Given Per Round: 15, 20.
    • Wood Given to Winner of Round: 15, 20.
    • Brick Given to Winner of Round: 15, 20.
    • Metal Given to Winner of Round: 15, 20.
    • Gold Given to Winner of Round: 15, 20.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Tracker Device could cause games to crash on multiple platforms.
  • Added missing tooltips and extra clarifications to some tooltips on various devices.
